What we collect
When you use Clip2Caption, you upload a video file for processing. We do not require an account, email, or payment information for the free tier.
How videos are handled
Your upload is processed on our server to generate captions and a captioned export. Source files are deleted after processing completes. Output files (MP4, SRT, VTT) are kept for a short period so you can download them, then removed automatically.
Transcription
Audio may be sent to a third-party speech-to-text provider to generate captions. We do not use your content to train models.
Local storage
Your browser may store caption preferences (style, language, etc.) locally so you don't have to re-select them each visit. This never leaves your device except as part of a caption job you explicitly start.
